What does the Installation & Troubleshooting package include? What type of services exactly can VPS and dedicated server users use?
When you get your own hosting server, you will have more liberty as to what you can install and run when compared with a shared Internet hosting account. With a shared service, you have access only to your own account, hence you're not able to install server-side software. While this is not an issue for the majority of script-driven applications, there are a few that have specific requirements and need particular software to be present on the web server either for some additional features or for them to work at all. If you have practical experience, you'll not have any problems to run the server, but if you do not, you may simply not have the knowledge to handle everything and use the script applications you want. If that is the case, you'll be able to use our Installation & Troubleshooting upgrade, which means that our system administrators can setup everything for you and help you with any problems that you may come across.
Installation and Troubleshooting in VPS Servers
The upgrade could be ordered for any of the VPS server
packages no matter the Operating System and Control Panel you have selected or the task that you need to be done as our administrators will help you with anything related to the software on the machine. This includes, but is not limited to, installing third-party applications, setting up hosting server options, troubleshooting scripts if they don't work properly, etc. The upgrade includes 1 hour of work and if a specific task requires less time, the remaining minutes will be available for the future and shall be listed within the virtual private server billing CP. You can use the Installation & Troubleshooting service either as a standalone upgrade or as an addition to the Managed Services upgrade, which includes half an hour of custom work on your hosting server. That way, you can work on your web sites without having to worry that you won't be able to use some application or losing time on complex matters.
Installation and Troubleshooting in Dedicated Servers
The upgrade is available with all our dedicated servers
and as long as you add it, our expert administrators will be able to assist you with anything on your server. This includes installing any third-party software that you might want to use on the server and troubleshooting any script which performs inadequately or doesn't run at all. Our upgrade comes with one hour of work and if a certain task isn't very time-consuming, we'll add the remaining time to your account. You'll be able to see how many minutes are left in your billing CP and use them whenever you need help again. The Installation & Troubleshooting upgrade could be acquired at any time, so in case you need something to be installed in the very beginning, you can add it to your order during the sign up process, while if you need assistance afterwards, you can add it from the hosting server billing area. Half an hour of custom work are included in our Managed Services pack too, but if you require additional work to be done on the server, the Installation & Troubleshooting upgrade will be a guarantee that your apps will be installed and set up in the best possible way.
